Where do you envision feeding your birds? Off your deck? Out in the yard? Hanging from a fence? Remember to pick a spot that you can see easily from your house and that is free from predators. We typically advise an area with 8’ clearance on all sides and at least 4’ from the ground that is near bushes, shrubs or trees to provide cover. Whatever your pick, we have several options, whether you decide to mount or hang your feeder.
Feeding and viewing birds right from your deck is so much fun.Get up close and personal with your feathered friends by using our rail mounts. Simply add a hanger or hook and you are ready to go! Start with one feeder and expand at will as you get more and more into the hobby. Try multiple tube, hopper or mesh feeders and see who you attract!
YARD & PATIO MOUNTS
Wild Bird Center’s PoleWise® system makes it easy to set -up your feeder and expand at will. First pick your height and corresponding poles. We can work with you to pick the brackets, arms and hooks to create the perfect set-up for YOUR yard, just ask! Pesky squirrels got you down? Add a baffle and watch your birds enjoy peaceful eating once again!
If you decide to hang your feeder off a wall or even a tree, our PoleWise® wall mounts are the perfect solution. Simply screw into surface and hang your feeder.
Ready to get to the fun part? Time to pick your feeder! Start with either a Hopper or Tube feeder for instant results.
Hopper feeders are the classic backyard bird feeder. Available in both wood and synthetic lumber for the environmentally-concious, the storage ‘hopper’ continuously replenishes the seed as it is consumed. All hopper feeders feature roof lines that protect your birds and seed from the weather and drainage to keep seed fresh. Hopper feeders attract a wide variety of birds such as chickadees, nuthatches, woodpeckers, cardinals and more!
Tube feeders work great in compact areas and can be grouped in a feeding station. Our mixed seed tube feeder can be used with any Wild Bird seed (except Nyjer). Tube feeders provide multiple ports for birds to perch while eating. Available in environmentally friendly Going Green (our recycled option) as well.
Simply put, better seed makes for a better backyard bird feeding experience. But what makes better seed? Quality bird seed contains only grains consumed by typical backyard birds and no fillers.
