Meet Seedy Sam, our new mascot. Seedy Sam has been seen around the Wilmington area recently...he crashed an event in Claymont, he was an invited guest at Bellevue State Park's Earth Day Concert where he danced with the children...
and learned about other mascots.....
You might be thinking "what does a guy in a chicken suit have to do with the Wild Bird Center?" Well, what did the San Diego Chicken have to do with the Padres? What does Mr. Celery have to do with the Wilmington Blue Rocks? The chicken is a fun symbol relating to the store. He's an ambassador of good will and now, a recognized symbol in the community. Besides, it was the only bird-oriented costume that we could find that didn't cost $1,000!
Be sure to keep your eyes open in Brandywine Hundred for Seedy Sam...he probably has plenty of surprises up his sleeve...er, in his feathers.....
