THIS MONTH"S BIRDWALK WILL BE HELD NOVEMBER 22nd!!!!!!!
There's plenty to see on our birdwalks, Red-bellied Woodpeckers, Oven Birds, warblers, just to name a few.
The cooler mornings just lend to a pleasant fall bird walk. The leaves will be changing soon too! Please join Wild Bird Center of Chesapeake the last Saturday of the month for a free nature/ bird walk. We leave from the Wild Bird Center at 8:00 a.m. (coffee and danish are here at the store for your enjoyment!). Our destinations may be the Northwest River Park, the Chesapeake Arboretum or a few other local places that lend themselves to an enjoyable nature walk. We post the destination on our bulletin board in the store but if you have not made it in, just call to find out the details.
Our bird walks are a great family activity and a wonderful way to introduce children to the world of nature. Backyard Birders, Mark and Ginny Lutes lead the bird walks.
The cost of the nature/bird walks is enthusiasm. We take care of the rest. If we do go somewhere that an entrance fee is charged, we pay all entrance fees. You are the Wild Bird Center's guest.
