Cool Weather

Can you belive all this cool weather we are having?  We have had a lot of customers in the store talk about being eaten out of house and home by their birds.  I have a theory on that and it involves the cool weather and good rainfall totals.  In my own yard i have seen more broods of baby birds then i can remember in a single season.  Most years when we have high temperatures the birds are not very active during the summer as they are having to spend extra energy to stay cool. Since the weather has been cool this has allowed the birds to stay active and forage more for food making it possible to raise more broods. 

Regardless I for one am happy that it has been a cool summer so I can be active just like the birds!
