Patrick & Mary, owners of the Wild Bird Center of Mason, are nationally certified naturalists & wildlife rehabilitators, wildlife lovers, bird experts and active conservationists.

Patrick, called the Bird and Bug Guy by some, is a real life bug expert -- he holds a master's degree in forensic entomology from Washington State University (Think - Silence of the Lambs). Mary's father, Frank, a life-long ornithologist (and geographer & geologist), passed down to her his love of birds and with it all his bird slides from Latin America! YES - they do collect rocks on family vacations, fight over whether to kill spiders, and argue over who is reading the map right -- all the while updating their birding "life lists."
Patrick & Mary's store has been open since November 2006 and they love their customers! They also are blessed with a wonderful staff who are dedicated to nature and birding. The Wild Bird Center of Mason is lucky to have a entomologist, zoologist, biologist, environmental scientist, several naturalists, forest ranger, and a teacher on staff - ask them anything! They challenge you to stump them with a nature related question!
Patrick & Mary are passionate about connecting people with nature and they strongly believe that bird watching is a "gateway hobby." They are dedicated to helping their Cincinnati area community better understand and appreciate their natural surroundings. Their expert staff are available for a variety of FREE educational programs to groups of all ages - they have a cirriculum of over 15 presentation topics or can develop one to meet your interests or needs.
