Winter Birds to See

Written by Bob and Carol Zollars of Wild Bird Center

We are starting to see the signs of winter approaching when the dark eyed juncos arrive. Be on the lookout for pine siskins, redpols, and red breasted nuthatches as the temperature drops. We may also start to see red crossbills in the coming months.

This morning we had six wild turkeys cleaning up seeds under our many feeders. You sometimes forget how big thses birds are until you see them up close!
